i can’t believe that it’s already been a week since our first #hgv vacation (staycation). isn’t it so true that vacations just go by way too quickly? however although that is the case, i am extremely glad that we were still able to get away – even if it was for a quick three-day weekend.
now, you may have seen in my previous posts that we ultimately decided to stay at parc soleil by hilton grand vacations for our very first “points” trip. it’s a location that we’ve driven by so many times, and we had heard great things about the property, so it seemed like the perfect fit for us. and we were RIGHT! this property was not only quaint and perfect for our “staycation” style (relaxation all the way), but it was the absolute PERFECT location as we also tend to be “tourists” in our own city during staycations.

more about the resort
located right off of palm parkway – we loved the layout of parc soleil. we never felt like there were a ton of crowds, and the fact they have two pools was fantastic. especially since we tend to be more of the “quiet pool” type of people where we can enjoy an adult beverage and relax in the sun.
our room was wonderful as well. having a nice pool view, we decided on trying out a studio for our first vacation, since we tend to be more “studio” goers while traveling. it ended up being perfect for what we needed, which included: a mini-fridge, some kitchenware and more. and honestly, one of my favorite parts was the fact that the whole room was tiled (it’s the little things). now the studios at this property didn’t have balconies, so next time i think we will definitely splurge and upgrade to a 1 bedroom guestroom. we realized for more of our staycation-like vacations, that would be a perk we’d use a lot – especially while drinking a nice glass of wine in the evenings.

location, location, location…
have i mentioned that we absolutely LOVED the location of the property. everything we did throughout the weekend was only about a $15 uber ride plus tip, which included: a lovely dinner at bull & bear at the waldorf bonnet creek resort (more on this place in another blog post), a night of fun at city walk, and a little morning adventure to top golf. like i said, we tend to be tourists in our own city – so why not visit some of the more “tourist” locations that we don’t frequent often. i even had the chance to go to rising star for the first time at citywalk and it was such a BLAST (and no before you ask, i didn’t sing)! there is so much to do in orlando – and even as locals, we don’t get a chance to visit everything the city has to offer.
from the staff to our accommodations (and the location), we had such a wonderful stay. i know we will definitely be staying there again in the future (maybe even try to score a fireworks view).
we can’t wait to book our next vacation with hilton grand vacations – where to next?
until next time
xoxo
