we are back on land and still wishing that we were cruising away on the disney dream. i swear those weekend cruises go by so darn quickly.
and yep, you read that title right…we have the vacation rosés, my take on vacation blues – but wine style. as i mentioned in some of my posts prior to our sailing, we love being able to bring a couple bottles onboard with us, especially to enjoy while we are relaxing on the balcony. and that is exactly what we did during this cruise with the wine selections we brought on board. and while we had an amazing assortment of wines, i think our favorite of the trip was the rosé we brought onboard – 2017 lieu dit rosé of pinot noir.
a bottle that we ended up getting from verve wine in new york city, this wine was so light and crisp. and honestly being a red wine lover, i could definitely pick up on the hints of pinot noir – and it also is described to exude flavors of watermelon, citrus and floral notes. absolutely refreshing, and it was the perfect beverage to have while eating a late breakfast on our balcony looking out at nassau. i mean, i don’t think it can get much better than that. after enjoying this bottle, i honestly think we are going to have to purchase some more of this wine as i think it will be a perfect summertime beverage, especially while enjoying a nice warm florida day.
