so, i did a thing and already signed up for a race in DECEMBER of next year! yep, you heard me december. but i couldn’t pass up the deal to run during the ouc half marathon weekend again. now i decided to opt for the 5k option next year instead of the half marathon, especially since i am crossing fingers that i will be getting into my very first marathon on tuesday! and knowing my body, i didn’t want to hop right back into a half shortly after my “hopeful” marathon date, which would be in october of 2018.
and after about a week off from running, i am ready to get back out on the road. probably more so to get my mind off of waiting for the news about the chicago marathon…i swear, it’s like waiting for santa to come! excitement, anxiousness (and in my case nervousness) – all of the feels are happening. here is to hoping for some good news on tuesday!
