a little wine and sapphire…

nothing beats kicking off a staycation at one of the newest hotels at universal orlando, loews sapphire falls resort AND attending an event all in the same evening?!

but first, i’m going to have to start with sapphire falls…what a beautiful resort. easing into island time, you truly feel like you are being transported into the caribbean – whether dining in their restaurant locations, sitting at the pool or walking around the property. and surprisingly, we really didn’t hear a lot of the typical orlando traffic around us which was a huge shock to us being orlando locals and knowing the location of the resort. a HUGE positive to this resort.

and not only are the grounds beautiful, but the room was wonderful as well. we booked a pool view king room and it was the perfect amount of space for us. i’d have to say my favorite part of the room was the bathroom, which featured a stand up shower instead of the normal bath tub. it’s the little things. and not only that but our view was pretty incredible as well, looking out at the wonderful pool on property. we definitely spent some quality time poolside the next morning before we headed over to our next location during our weekend staycation.

but one of the perks to staying at this location on friday night was the fact that it connected directly to the loews royal pacific resort ballroom space where the event was being held. what event you ask? well, if you couldn’t tell by my title…it definitely involved wine. hosted by quest, inc. and southern glazer’s wine & spirits, keith and i were fortunate enough to attend wine quest for the second year in a row. this event allow you to savor fine wines and spirits, taste delicious food, and also support a great cause. it’s quest, inc. mission to “offer individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to achieve their dreams to live, learn, work and play.” and amazingly, quest, inc. has supported central floridians for over 50 years! incredible, right?

having the opportunity to try some new wines and seeing all of the amazing auction items going towards this great cause, it really was a great way to spend a friday night.

be sure to check out quest, inc. and stay tuned for more updates from our staycation.

until next time
xoxo
