well, i am way too late in posting about our last runDisney virtual running shorts series race. between the holiday and family in town, it complete slipped my mind.
so the final race – white glove. i’ve absolutely loved this entire series, especially the ability to run wherever we wanted to complete these races. the verdict on the last course?! well it’s one that keith and i have done before, the art of animation and pop century loop. thankfully since we’ve run this route before, we knew exactly what to do to get to that all important 3.1 miles. and what an incredible route – probably one of my favorites on disney property. between larger than life characters from the lion king and finding nemo to learning about history throughout the pop century resort, everything about these resorts can put a smile on my face (even while running). a simple loop, but it definitely got the job done.
and, mission accomplished with completing all of our virtual races on disney property. truly made the series that much better and one of the perks of living near the most magical place on earth. and since we’ve started running on property, we can’t wait to try out a few other running routes around the other resorts. amazing how many trails there truly are – i think the next one to try is old key west.
now it’s time to wait for our bling and continue our training for runDisney’s wine & dine have marathon. next race…disney’s castaway key 5k. i cannot wait to race on disney’s private island on our upcoming cruise. less than a week away.
