happy belated fourth of july everyone. i took a little bit of a hiatus for the weekend – that way i could spend some quality time with family and friends. and man, was the weekend incredible. in typical fashion, we spent some of our time this holiday weekend on disney property with one of the highlights being breakfast on the fourth of july at chef mickeys in disney’s contemporary resort.
one of my favorite character breakfasts, this location has something to offer that most don’t – all of the classic disney characters: mickey mouse, minnie mouse, goofy, donald duck and pluto. and with one of the first reservations of the morning, we actually got seated at the table where the characters came first – awesome, especially since we had some little ones in our group. and seeing their faces light up when the characters came around was incredible. as much as i love disney, it’s extremely cool to see it through the eyes of a child.
and not only where the characters fantastic, but the food was delicious too. i may have “carbed up” on this meal, but i couldn’t resist. from mickey shaped waffles to their cheesy potato casserole – i was in heaven. i definitely got some seconds on the casserole, i mean how couldn’t i?! if you are looking for a great character breakfast, definitely look into getting a reservation here – but be sure to look early since this place fills up quickly.
