“to live would be an awfully big adventure”
wow, i really still can’t put into words how incredible this past weekend was with my love. as some of you may have seen from a previous post about a month ago, keith and i decided to opt-in for a staycation during his birthday weekend. it truly was the best decision we could’ve made. our choice was to stay at the hilton bonnet creek resort located right on disney property.
so early saturday morning (on keith’s birthday) we decided to head over to the hotel a little early that way we could catch some rays. now upon check in, i’m thinking that we are just going to be in a standard king room – when we were then told that we had been upgraded to a junior suite. SURPRISE! that was even a surprise to me and when we got to the room we were amazed. not only was the room nicely put together, but the view…a full view of disney. that would be my dream view to wake up to every single day. and not only did we have a full disney view, but we also had a clear view of the amazing pool at the hotel. so with that, it was time for some rays – and thankfully the weather cooperated with us since it was supposed to rain all weekend. from the poolside service to the lazy river, we could not have asked for a better afternoon. the fact that we were able to just relax and enjoy each other’s company with no distractions made the decision to have a staycation well worth it.
after this past weekend, the decision to staycation is definitely going to be made more often. we realized that sometimes you just need a little adventure away to escape the whirlwind of the real world and just be with the ones you love. and the best part, we are staying at this property in november for disney’s wine & dine half marathon weekend. we cannot wait for our upcoming stay in the fall…maybe we will actually get some cooler weather to fully utilize those fire pits all over property.
until next time
xoxo
