words cannot describe how excited i was to visit my former home this past weekend to celebrate one of my dear friend’s bachelorette party. initially thinking we were traveling to north carolina, we all surprised her in the grand city of nashvegas to celebrate! now this wasn’t your normal bachelorette party, but truly a gathering of friends wanting to spend time together and create incredible memories in this fabulous city. it also didn’t hurt that CMA fest was in town over the weekend – can you say country music?!
starting the weekend with a relaxing night in, we really got to spend this time catching up with one another. from the gifts to reminiscing on memories we all share – it was probably the best kick off to the weekend. and the fun didn’t stop there. the next day, we spent a glorious morning on the lake simply relaxing and soaking up the bright (and most certainly hot) sun. something to know about all of us is we absolutely LOVE the sunshine – and honestly i didn’t know how the day could get any better. but, it did. later in the evening, we were all surprised to find out that we were going to the CMA fest performance that night. and man did i have a major fan girl moment when steven tyler came on stage to perform. a true icon in my book, i’ve been wanting to see steven tyler and aerosmith for YEARS! and while aerosmith wasn’t there, this bucket list item was definitely checked off for me. such an incredible performance by this legend. and truly all of the performers were amazing – from florida georgia line to cole swindell and blake shelton, there was definitely not a shortage of talent on that stage.
and while the concert was amazing, this weekend was ultimately about friendship and celebrating our dear friend. i really don’t think it could’ve been a better weekend – a true reminder to cherish the moments we make every single day. so while i was sad to leave my beautiful friends and the incredible city, this weekend will be one i remember forever.
