a few nights ago, keith and i had a chance to visit the newest area to disney springs – the town center. after months (actually years) of anticipation, the new area did not let us down. it actually exceeded anything we could’ve imagined and it isn’t even fully finished yet. i can only imagine how immaculate it will be once fully completed.
now due to some rain, we weren’t able to fully explore the area. however, we did get a chance to visit some of the new stores and restaurants that highlight the newly expanded section of disney springs. the first stop, ALEX AND ANI® of course. this ‘charmed’ location is one of my favorite places to shop. not just because they have amazing jewelry but because they all have a special meaning behind it – a purpose. and man, was it a successful trip. it didn’t hurt that we had an incredible sales representative – so knowledgeable and passionate about the brand. and right next door was an adorable shop called francesca’s – carrying items like clothing and jewelry to cute little trinkets. between these two stores, you can definitely get some wonderful ideas for gifts or even add to your own personal collections.
while the shops are incredible, the new restaurant additions also add a nice touch to the area. we decided on trying a quick service hamburger and shake shop called D-Luxe Burger that smelled absolutely delicious right upon walking in. we ended up ordering the el diablo burger with some of their hand cut fries. the burger was not your traditional style, but a chorizo-and-signature blend patty topped with fried banana peppers, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and chipolte mayonnaise. and the fries were warm and crispy with every bite. also important to note, they have ‘adult’ shakes where you can add alcohol such as smoked bourbon, vanilla porter and godiva raspberry. definitely a must try next time we visit.
