being an orlando local (and a frequent disney visitor), i am extremely excited about this news. disney parks blog author, jennifer fickley-baker, released that disney’s animal kingdom (aka DAK) will now feature some awesome nighttime activities. starting memorial day weekend, animal kingdom will come to life after dark.

kilimanjaro safaris after dark
i think i’m most excited for the kilimanjaro safaris after dark. i mean the ride is fantastic in the daylight, i can only imagine how it’s going to be at night. and in addition to that, we will now be able to experience expedition everest and kali river rapids in the dark of night. in all my years of going to animal kingdom, i had always hoped that this park would expand into the night hours and finally it’s happening.
also don’t forget to check out tiffins, the newest restaurant in the discovery island area. i know i can’t wait to venture over there to see what they have to offer.
