running to the second star…keep right
my shirt mantra for today’s race and man did it feel like i was flying today. the fiddler’s 5k was the kick off to the multiple races i am running before the dark side challenge. to me, these are really just a great way for me to train (and to experience that runner’s high before my half).
however my stupidity came out a bit when i realized that i didn’t get my garmin ready in time to utilize the gps feature – basically to tell me how my pace was, etc. so what did i do?! well the only thing i really could do, wing it. and honestly it was probably the best decision because i wasn’t worrying about what mile i was at or how fast i was going. i truly just ran to how i felt.
the result…a sub 30 minute 5k (29:50.4). a complete shock!
now time to train for the next one on march 12
zimmerman kiser sutcliffe winter park road race 10k
happy training
xoxo
